PEG-80 SORBITAN LAURATE
PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate is made through a chemical reaction between Sorbitan monolaurate and ethylene oxide, resulting in the formation of polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains attached to the sorbitan monolaurate molecule.
It acts as a surfactant, helping to reduce surface tension and increase the spreadability of cosmetics and personal care products. Also, acts as an emulsifier, which means that it helps to mix together ingredients that would normally separate, such as oil and water.
PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate is good for skin and hair and is considered safe for use up to concentrations of 10%.
