Organophosphonic acids and salts like Hepta Sodium Salt of Diethylene Triamine Penta (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (DTPMP•Na7) are used in a broad spectrum of applications, including industrial water treatment, household & industrial detergents, industrial cleaners, enhanced oil recovery operations and various industrial processes such as desalination, textiles, leather, ceramic, geothermal.
Phosphonates make it possible to hang water in the boiler water instead of sinking into the pipe surface. Thus, the cleaning process becomes easier and there is no clogging. Besides anti-incrustation properties, they enhance detergency, stabilise bleach components and assist in stain removal.
