Climbazole
Climbazole is synthesized through a multistep chemical process. Aminobenzamide compound reacts with chloroacetyl chloride to produce Climbazole. It is also known as Baypival.
Climbazole is an antifungal agent used in cosmetics to combat dandruff and various scalp conditions caused by fungal infections like Malassezia. As a broad-spectrum antifungal, Climbazole works by inhibiting the growth of fungi, preventing their proliferation on the scalp. It is commonly added to hair care products.
Apart from hair care, Climbazole extends its goodness to skin care formulations to combat fungal-related skin conditions like tinea versicolor and seborrheic dermatitis. Further, this ingredient is a renowned preservative that inhibits the development of bacteria in formulations – increasing their shelf life.
