PHENOXYETHANOL
Phenoxyethanol is found naturally in green tea. However, for commercial purposes, it is made synthetically when ethylene oxide and phenol are treated in an alkaline medium. It is generally used in cosmetic and skincare products as a preservative and is known as glycol ether in chemical terms.
